MSc Bioinformatics

This  is a two year, four semester course with a focus on the applications of advanced computational techniques to solve problems in biotechnology. It is an interdisciplinary course which uses the latest advances in biotechnology along with the tools and techniques of mathematics, statistics and computer science.


 

Eligibility:

 

MSc Bioinformatics program, a two-year, four-semester postgraduate course has a maximum intake of 27 students. A candidate seeking admission to MSc Bioinformatics must have basic degree in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Zoology, Biotechnology, Botany/Plant Biology and Plant Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Computer Applications (BCA) , Electronics, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, Statistics or B.Sc M.L.T  wih a minimum of 55% Aggregate marks in these concerned subjects of any recognized university.

 

Admission procedure:

 

Selection of candidates for the course will be on the basis of General Merit in the subject of specialization in their graduation, entrance examination and interview.
